CALVIN KLEIN COLLECTION AW16 MEN’S RUNWAY SHOW
In Milan on Sunday 17th of January, Calvin Klein Collection Men’s Creative Director, Italo Zucchelli, presented his Fall 2016 Calvin Klein Collection runway show at the company’s European headquarters.
Mr. Zucchelli presented a collection of 42 looks to an audience that included Internet personality Cameron Dallas, who was wardrobed in a look by the designer. In addition to seven exclusive male models, the show featured four female models – Gemma Ward, Mariacarla Boscono, Iselin Steiro and Jessca Miller – in full men’s looks. The casting served to convey the show’s message of the universal power of men’s tailoring, examining core pieces that are fundamental to the brand’s identity. Exquisitely tailored menswear essentials were rendered in rich fabrics, sumptuous textures and unexpected accents.
Lustrous silver, gold and rose gold metal foil infused the collection with a vibrant energy, and was incorporated in standalone pieces as well as outerwear lining and accessories. A neutral palette of black, white, camel and ivy provided a spartan backdrop for the trinity of metals. Calf framed derby shoes were featured throughout the collection, while earrings and necklaces mirrored after bolts and screws amplified the sense of masculine sensuality that permeates the season.
