The role of the Account Manager is to work closely with senior team members to support the team in securing optimum results and coverage across the client portfolio.
We are looking for enthusiastic and hardworking candidates with excellent editorial contacts, strong writing and project management skills and a genuine passion for lifestyle and the arts.
The ideal candidate should have experience or interest in the travel, design or arts.
ModusBPCM’s burgeoning Lifestyle and Arts division encompasses a range of travel, hospitality, art, design and lifestyle clients. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate an active personal interest in cultural institutions, interiors, and travel.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
As an Account Manager at ModusBPCM your responsibilities will include, without being limited to, the following:
NEW BUSINESS:
Contributing to new business brainstorms
CLIENT MANAGEMENT & RELATIONS:
To feed into client and internal reporting for both traditional and digital campaigns, notably around coverage and evaluation
To attend client catch ups (meetings and conference calls)
To maintain an understanding of reporting format per client, and company ‘standard’ reporting formats and evaluation methods
Maintain an awareness of and work towards agreed PR and digital KPIs
COMMUNICATIONS:
Securing on-going press coverage (features as well as product placement) in travel, arts and design publications as well as key national and international magazines, newspapers, broadcast and online media outlets
Maintaining strong editorial relationships across the luxury media landscape
Devising and implementing PR timelines, creative strategies and annual plans alongside senior team
Project managing press trips, working within a budget framework
Day-to-day client management, ensuring that client and editorial requests are completed in a timely manner, with a meticulous attention to detail
Overseeing the junior team on creation and timely distribution of editorial reports, press and budgetary tracking documents
Working with the senior leadership to manage client campaigns and taking ownership for specific projects without supervision
Identifying on-brand influencers, KOLs and tastemakers for organic gifting opportunities and paid influencer marketing campaigns
Conduct weekly research to identify fresh digital talent, while building and maintaining existing relationships
To have a good understanding of the digital media landscape - and any relevant experience in this field is welcome
To create and maintain a list of appropriate lifestyle and arts influencers and talent managers within the digital sphere
To stay informed and pass on news of new businesses, launches across the industry
To create and maintain appropriate press lists with the help of junior team members
EVENTS:
Attend client and industry events
To work in a collaborative manner with other divisions to create ambassador and VIP invitee lists
To work in a collaborative manner with other divisions to create appropriate media invitee lists
To support on creation of project-aligned media and influencer strategies, supporting execution to ensure project-specific KPIs are met
TEAM MANAGEMENT:
Meet regularly with your team to discuss strategy, opportunities, and relay achievements and areas of concern to your seniors
To manage and mentor junior staff to ensure high performance in key areas including clippings, media database management and client reporting
Able to prioritise and set realistic tasks and timeframes for yourself, raising queries with your senior team and asking for support where required
Build relationships with AMs/SAMs in other specialisms to ensure supportive and integrated approach to media and digital activations
FINANCE:
Awareness and experience of expenses and budgets
GENERAL:
To attain and maintain the requisite IT skills to efficiently utilise the company’s hardware and software packages
To adhere to the company’s code of contact and systems, as set out in the company handbook
To implement company practice
Ensure use of company templates & guidelines provided
To update & maintain third party suppliers lists
DESIRED EXPERIENCE
At least 3 years relevant PR experience working with luxury, arts, lifestyle or travel
Experience with either lifestyle brands in an agency or in-house setting
Established media relationships
Passion for travel, arts and culture
Excellent written, communication and presentation skills
Strong project and people management experience
International media experience a bonus

TECHNICAL KNOW-HOW AND QUALIFICATIONS
Good knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, Google Drive, iCloud required
Knowledge of Roxhill/Gorkana/other media management platforms desirable.
Basic knowledge of Adobe Suite is welcomed, but not essential.
DETAILS
Working three days a week from ModusBPCM W1 office, with one/two days working from home. Salary dependent upon experience. Benefits include 28 days’ annual holiday allowance plus bank holidays, incorporating paid leave between Christmas and New Year and company-matched contributions to company pension scheme.
